The Unicorn is a Free House renowned in the area for great food supplied by local farms and cooked freshly to order by our experienced chef. We also have a fine range of beers, wines and other drinks to accompany your meal and some fresh coffee to follow it.

The Unicorn has a beer garden and patio, with a boules pitch if you feel sporty. We are located very close to Bekesbourne railway station and have a car park at the rear.

We offer a standard menu and a varied specials board, which include vegetarian options, all at competitive prices. We are more than happy to cater for children by halving portions on request. Please also let us know of any food allergies or individual dietary requirements when ordering. The Unicorn was awarded the maximum Scores on the Doors 5 stars for food hygiene in 2008.

We offer a selection of cask ales and keg lagers and cider, introducing new ales and old favourites, such as:

Gadds' (a micro-brewery based in Ramsgate, who offer a selection of different strength ales)

Harveys (a Sussex brewery)

Master Brew (from Shepherd Neame, the well known local brewery in Faversham)

Guinness is always on tap, along with Hurliman's Lager and the popular Biddenden Cider.

We stock an extensive wine list (currently about 20 varieties) including French, Italian and Argentinean wines. We also serve house wine by the glass, featuring two red, two white and two rose wines.

The Unicorn is the village pub for Bekesbourne in Kent, located on the road Bekesbourne Hill, at the end of Bekesbourne Lane, south of Canterbury.

Bekesbourne Hill is the narrow leafy lane on the right just before the high red brick railway bridge on the route from Howletts Zoo to the A2.

There is a path leading directly from Bekesbourne railway station, making the Unicorn a great start and finish to a hike or cycle ride in the beautiful Kent countryside.

There is also a car park at the rear of the pub for about 20 cars and a few on street spaces in front.

Howletts the zoo is just 3 minutes away and we are close to the villages of Patrixbourne, Littlebourne and Bridge just off the A2 between Faversham and Dover.

Other nearby attractions include Canterbury Cathedral, Canterbury Golf Course and the Camping & Caravan Club site.
