The Sun Inn is a traditional 17th century Grade II listed Public House and Bed and Breakfast. With a beautiful courtyard garden to enjoy in summer and a wood burning stove to warm the heart in winter, everyone is welcome to enjoy a relaxing time in The Sun.

The bar is friendly and lively, well known for its live sports coverage, 'alternate' juke box and large range of drinks, including real ales, cold filtered beers and traditional 'rough' Somerset cider. The beautiful courtyard garden is a wonderful sun trap and the perfect place to enjoy a drink al fresco.

Well known for its sports coverage, The Sun shows all Sky and Setanta Premiership football matches as well as other major sporting events, such as Wimbledon and the Grand National. There is a darts board and very popular pool table, with The Sun having 2 pool teams. It often hosts pool championships matches and 'killer pool' nights.

The juke box is very popular with everyone and regularly has albums added by customers. There is an eclectic mix of tunes; from Jazz to Punk and Rock to Indie, there is something for everyone's tastes (but sorry, no boy bands).

The Sun Inn offers a good selections of drinks and is a well known local 'cider house' stocking the very popular Thatcher's Scrumpy, as well as Strongbow, Bulmers and Jacques ciders. The lagers are cold filtered and the real ales are well kept. It also boasts an extensive range of spirits; from the traditional pub favorites to more unusual tipples from around the world.

The Courtyard garden is a relatively new addition, being refurbished and opened in July 2007 in time for the smoking ban. It has seating for over 50 people with a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful planting. For the chillier nights there are outdoor heaters and for all the sports fans, it also has an outside t.v.

The Bed and Breakfast* consists of 6 delightfully spacious rooms each having tea and coffee making facilities and a television. The 4 main rooms have en-suite facilities and the 2 single rooms have a basin in the room and share a separate private bathroom. A full English breakfast is served in the breakfast room each morning.

*Please note that even though we have family rooms available, unfortunately licensing restrictions mean that no persons under the age of 18 will be allowed access to the bar or garden.
